Federal state unitary enterprise «Russian Research Center «Applied Chemistry» (GIPH) took part in a meeting on the development of the Pyzhemskoye field in Komi Republic

FSUE «RRC «Applied chemistry» (GIPH), together with organizations and enterprises that are parts of state corporations Rosatom and Rostec, took part in the meeting of the Commission of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs on the military industrial complex on the issues of integrated development of Pizhemsky Deposit in Komi Republic and the creation of a National Mining Cluster. 

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the government of the Republic Komi, Rustitan Group, IMET RAS, IGEM RAS, TVEL JSC, VNIINM JSC, SHK JSC, CHMZ JSC, IC ASE JSC, VNIIHT JSC, NPK Techmash JSC, Atomredmetzoloto JSC and NP Gornopromyshlenniki.

GC RUSTITAN presented to the meeting participants a presentation on the implementation of the investment project «Construction of a vertically integrated mining and metallurgical complex for processing titanium ores and quartz (glass) Sands of the Pyzhemskoye field» on the territory of the Komi Republic, as well as information on the creation of a National Mining Cluster. 

FSUE “RSC “Applied chemistry” (GIPH) is a partner of GC RUSTITAN on the design of production facilities for implementation of the project for the development of Pizhemski Deposit.

The participants of the meeting supported the initiative of GC RUSTITAN to create a National Mining Cluster that will unite organizations and enterprises in the mining, processing and chemical industries within the project, increasing their competitiveness in the domestic and international market, creating a single chain of production of high-grade products, as well as receiving state support measures.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to create a joint working group to form a roadmap for the development of the Pyzhemskoe field in the interests of the national industry and the participation of interested parties in the project implementation.

Representatives of GIPH took part in the Business conference of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives National Technological Revolution 20.35.

The Business conference National Technological Revolution 20.35 opened on November 7, 2019 in the project office Of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives «Boiling Point St. Petersburg». The event was attended by employees of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “RRC “Applied chemistry” – head of marketing and PR Department Kirill Blokhin and senior researcher Pavel Mitin.

In particular, GIPH specialists took part in the round table “Creation of private unmanned air transport and private space technologies — AERONET strategy”, where they presented current innovative developments of the RRC – ion exchange membranes for fuel cells, mobile hydrogen production technology and “Green” fuel.

Anniversary meeting of the employees of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Russian Research Center «Applied Chemistry» (GIPH)

On October 18, a meeting of the staff of the Federal state unitary enterprise “RSC “Applied chemistry” (GIPH) was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the enterprise. The head of the enterprise Elena Kozlova made a report on the work done to the employees of GIPH. She spoke about the company’s development and new prospects.

Then a ceremony was held to award honorary badges and certificates of employees of GIPH. The GIPH gold badge was awarded to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Nikolai Prokhorov spoke at the Cosmonautics Museum

A lecture by Nikolai Prokhorov, an employee of the Federal state unitary enterprise “RRC “Applied chemistry” (GIPH), was held on October 10 at the Glushko Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology as part of the “Meetings” project.

The lecture was attended by students and teachers of Voenmekh, representatives of the space industry. Nikolay Prokhorov spoke about the main milestones in the history of rocket fuels, about the prospects for using new-generation fuels, in particular, methane and hydrogen fuel for interplanetary flights, the exploration of the Moon and Mars. In conclusion, Nikolai Prokhorov answered the questions of the audience.

The event was organized by The Glushko Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology and the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Russian Federation of Cosmonautics.

Representatives of GIPH spoke at the first Glushkov Readings

October 4, 2019 in the conference hall of the Peter and Paul Fortress was held the first Russian scientific-practical conference “Glushkovsky Readings” dedicated to the memory and legacy of the founder of national rocket engine, twice hero of Socialist labor, laureate of Lenin and State prizes of the USSR, academician Valentin Glushko. It was attended by three employees of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Russian Research Center «Applied chemistry» (GIPH): Nikolai Prokhorov, Nikolai Yaroshenko and Ksenia Pervushina.

Nikolai Prokhorov made a presentation in the plenary part of the conference on V. P. Glushko and the creation of a reusable transport rocket and space system “Energia – Buran”, where he told the details of the launch of “Energia-Buran” and the role of academician V. P. Glushko in this project.

Ksenia V. Pervushina, an employee of the laboratory of liquid rocket fuels, told about the development of engines using “Green” fuels and about the development of Hyphae. Nicholay Yaroshenko reported on the role of liquid-phase reactions in the combustion of hypergolic liquid rocket, and also spoke about the engines of spacecraft and gasifiers that have been developed GIPH.

At the end of the event, Nikolai Prokhorov spoke again. He told about innovative components of fuel for liquid engines for space purposes, in particular about the development of methane fuel by GIPH and the prospects for its use for a new super-heavy rocket.

The event was organized by the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, the Glushko Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology, the Voenmech Baltic State Technical University named D.F. Ustinov and the North-Western interregional public organization of the Russian Federation of Cosmonautics.

Saint Petersburg celebrated the 100th anniversary of GIPH with a cannon shot in Petropavlovskaya Fortress

September 27, 2019 at 12: 00. the midday shot of the Naryshkin Bastion of the Petropavlovskaya Fortress was made in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Foundation Of the Russian Research Center «Applied Chemistry». The honorary right to make a shot was granted to the head of the enterprise – Elena Kozlova. This solemn act was a gift from the city and The Museum of the History of St. Petersburg to the staff of the leading scientific center of Russia.

GIPH became a participant of MAKS-2019

FSUE RRC “Applied chemistry” (GIPH) took part in the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2019. At the air show, GIPH presented its current developments and products, including a solid-source oxygen generator, “Green” rocket fuel, fire-extinguishing systems and fire-extinguishing refrigerants. Negotiations on further cooperation with several companies and enterprises were held at the MAKS sites.

In addition, GIPH, together with the Charity Foundation Legends of Aviation and the OUR SKY Foundation, organized a press tour on board the world’s first aircraft with a cryogenic engine Tu-155, in the development of which GIPH participated. Nikolai Prokhorov, one of the participants in the development of the Tu-155, spoke to the guests of the event. He spoke about the implementation of the project and new promising developments in the field of cryogenic fuels. Also during the event, a demonstration of the operation of the oxygen generator on solid sources was held on board the Tu-155 aircraft, and all participants of the press tour were given the opportunity to directly test this development and breathe oxygen on solid sources.
